Multicoloured sand made the headlines during Milan S/S15 thanks to the Prada set design with its visually arresting sand dunes, comprising 150 tons of purple sand. This Happy Monday, however, we're shedding light on the more breathtaking phenomenon of different coloured sands in nature. From the black basalt sand of Vík, Iceland's most southern village, to the pink grains of Harbour Island in the Bahamas, which owes its hue to the pink shells of microscopic creatures known as Foraminifera, we hope these beautiful beaches help to brighten up your Monday!
