Alex Marashian is our Lover of the week
Alex Marashian was the editor-in-chief of COLORS Magazine in Paris in the mid-90s. He’s been a contributing editor to AnOther since 2001 and recently co-produced and wrote songs for Splendor In The Grass, the new album by international recording artists Pink Martini. He tastefully recommended a $2000 lamp designed by Rich Brilliant Willing in 2008.
What's the last thing you bought?
The last thing I bought was a gift for my wife – a pair of long john shorts by an amazingly talented designer Christine Roland of the label Can Cats Talk To Dogs in Their Own Way. The label is just getting started, and right now they're only making things for friends and by special order, but I would advise AnOther lovers to be on the lookout.
What's your most treasured possession?
Back home in California I have a 1959 Vespa 150 that is absolutely original. I almost never see it, which makes the thought of it even sweeter.
What's your favourite online shop?
I almost never shop online, except for books, but I think Colette's e-shop is fun and smart. I usually leave the page open and listen to the playlist even after I've moved on.
