With the launch of his second line in 1981, Giorgio Armani democratised the look of Italian fashion – dressing women for every occasion, in everything from workwear to evening and beyond. Crystal-fringed cocktail dresses recur from season to season, while tailoring swings from strength to strength. Darting between collections spanning from the early 00s to now, Mr Armani’s revered line appears as fresh today as in its inaugural season.
