Kate Moss is truly the model of our time: from bare-faced teenager in Calvin Klein’s 1992 campaign to the ubiquitous presence in fashion she is today, the Croydon-born super has time and again demonstrated her ability to embody the spirit of the time, through numerous magazine covers, campaigns and shows over a three-decade career. (She is now heralding a new generation of talent with the Kate Moss Agency.)

As such, she has been a regular in the pages of AnOther Magazine – and on the cover, on which she has appeared seven times, her first for Spring/Summer 2004, photographed by Craig McDean. Since, she has been shot by some of the greatest image-makers of our day: Willy Vanderperre, Alasdair McLellan and Collier Schorr, among others, who capture different sides of her, be it the “waif from Croydon”, as McDean put it, or glamorous hostess in Marie Antoinette-esque vintage haute couture. On that occasion, she even gave AnOther her tips for hosting a good party – namely: “Plenty of Rolling Stones, Marc Bolan and Blondie.”

Today, on her 45th birthday, we celebrate the legendary supermodel by looking back at her finest photographic moments in AnOther.
