Nature and hyper-reality violently converge in this short film by Pierre Debusschere
Pierre Debusschere is a modern day conjurer who used pyrotechnics and chemistry to contrast the sharp, embellished tailoring of the Dolce & Gabbana S/S10 collection with a surreal aesthetic for the AnOther Man Outlaw Issue. He was “spinning around, clicking stills, shooting video, shooting rockets,” says fashion editor David St. John James who styled the shoot. Here we show an exclusive edit of images held back from the issue and a fashion film starring the young, talented and ethical actor Robert Sheehan. ("It was stunning gear. I was trying to pinch a few items, but I was raised honest.") Sheehan stars in the UK TV series Misfits and upcoming films Back To Jack with Carey Mulligan and Wayfaring Strangers with Cillian Murphy. "He also had that element of an outlaw,” says St. John James, “young and full of energy with a look that is a bit dark and twitchy, but wild and beautiful at the same time."
