Watermelon Editions is a new print sale raising funds to support those affected in Palestine and the wider region
Since 7 October 2023, 44,757 Palestinians have been killed, including 17,492 children. A further 104,008 Palestinians have been injured and more than 11,000 are missing. And that’s not even counting the 1.9 million displaced, nor the people killed, injured and missing in the West Bank and Lebanon. The numbers are staggering, the scale of human suffering beyond imagination. And with winter approaching, famine imminent and healthcare in a state of collapse, things are only getting worse.
Support for those affected is therefore more imperative than ever. Today (21 November), a new print sale is launching to raise urgent funds for two NGOs that are carrying out vital work in the region: Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and Medical Aid for Palestinians.
Organised by AnOther’s art director SJ Todd, Watermelon Editions includes works by a group of international artists that includes Coco Capitán, Jack Davison, Carlijn Jacobs, Maripol, Gabriel Moses, Sharna Osborne, Sam Rock, Vinca Peterson, Oliver Hadlee Pearch, Jet Swan, and many more.
The prints are 8 x 10 inches, produced by Imagine Studio and priced at £80 each. Launching just in time for the holiday season, they make for a perfect gift (for a loved one, or indeed, oneself), and support a crucial humanitarian cause.
