In anticipation of the opening of Frame 2012 at the Frieze London next week, we are proud to present an exclusive film AnOthermag.com has created in collaboration with artist Sarah Beeby and COS. Inspired by the worlds of art and fashion, the unique animation references the ideas, aesthetics and working processes of the artists and the fashion brand COS.
The film makes use of a split-screen format to highlight the blurred boundaries of modern creative disciplines. In minutes, the short cleverly moves through the creative process. A sneak peek at an artist's sketch book and Frieze floorplans; the tools of the trade, be it paint brushes or pattern-cutting blocks. An iconic print from the COS womenswear A/W12 collection juxtaposed with the surreal visuals of Frame artist Maria Loboda; delicate still lives evoking the precision and personality of both art and fashion.
Frame at Frieze London, supported by COS for the past three years, is solely focused on young solo artist presentations and, since its inception in 2009, it has shown emerging worldwide creatives, none of who has been a practicing artist for more than six years.
Frieze London returns to Regents Park, London from the October 11 – 14.
