Today, the much-anticipated Louis Vuitton Maison on New Bond Street, London, opens its doors to the public. Designed by architect Peter Marino, the 1,529m2 establishment brings together all the elements of the Vuitton lifestyle – innovation, fashion and heritage – under one roof. As a reflection of the company’s long and proud tradition of collaborating with artists and purchasing art, Marino has designed the Maison to resemble a collector’s home. It is the most luxurious Louis Vuitton store so far, which, according to LV president Yves Carcelle, is a sign of the brand’s confidence regarding the future of the luxury industry in London. The store is undoubtedly a new standard-bearer for luxury outlets. Spread over three opulent floors it boasts a large selection of the fashion house’s products, a library, and work by heavyweight artists such as Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst and Gilbert and George. We’re looking forward to Loving lots of products from the store – the lovely animal bags have already caught our attention.
