On Saturday night AnOther Magazine hosted a dinner in the grounds of the magnificent Ottoman Topkapi Palace in Istanbul at Turkish Airlines Istancool Festival by Liberatum. Guests included Daphne Guinness – who had earlier joined Philip Treacy on stage to discuss their shared love of fashion and hat making – Lily Cole, Gore Vidal, Terence Koh, Stephen Frears, Sir VS Naipaul and Kim Jones. The official residence of the Ottoman Sultans was transformed for the evening by event designer extraordinaire Antony Todd with torches lighting the way to the dinner, set overlooking the Bosphorus, under trees lit by 100 lanterns. The magic continued as a traditional Ottoman marching parade came through the gates of the palace to perform. Later guests were transported to the after party held at Otto Santral, a disused electrical factory where music provided by the Misshapes and Gareth Pugh kept everyone dancing into the early hours.
