Documenting blooming moments in the capital this summer
TextLaura Bradley
It's easy to visualise the blossom fields of Japan; the tulip fields of Holland. But what do we have in London? Our local bloom moments are much less obvious. An exciting challenge then for photographer Benjamin McMahon, who AnOther invited to document some of London's hidden floral moments.
Here, McMahon, known for capturing beautifully candid moments (as seen in his I Can't Put My Phone Down story) trawled the streets of London for the unexpected spikes of colour that punctuate the concrete, documenting perfect window boxes to random growths in untended front gardens.
