The Italian filmmaker discusses fashion, adolescence, and his acclaimed new HBO drama, We Are Who We Are
This week, NOWNESS celebrated its 10th anniversary with an extra-special 10-hour film festival. The online event, which took place yesterday, featured talks and workshops with some of the platform’s most established creative contributors, from filmmakers and cinematographers to fashion designers and dancers.
One of the most significant events on the schedule was a conversation between Luca Guadagnino – the Italian director behind Call Me By Your Name and 2018’s Suspiria – and NOWNESS founder Jefferson Hack.
The 50-minute talk saw the pair discuss adolescence, fashion, music and filmmaking. Guadagnino also spoke in-depth about his TV debut, the coming-of-age drama We Are Who We Are, which premiered on HBO earlier this year.
