Album Covers as Pelican Books

Famous cover art meets old-fashioned paperbacks in this week's Happy Monday

Reimagining classic record covers as Pelican books – an idea so brilliant it's hard to believe it wasn't thought of sooner. Luckily for us London based designer Huw Gwilliam has made it a reality via his Flickr feed, Littlepixel. Inspired by Phil Baine's popular book Penguin By Design – a look back at seventy years of  the iconic book covers – Gwilliam’s project "reimaginitizes" (his word) some of the most loved records of the past 50 years for a feel-good effect with a dash of nostalgia. From Michael Jackson to Simple Minds, Serge Gainsbourg to Primal Scream, here we present our favourite of these illustrated remixes for your weekly dose of playfulness.

Happy Monday! #anotherhappymonday
