Earlier this month, the Autumn/Winter 2019 issue of AnOther Magazine – titled ‘Hardcore Romance’ – arrived on newsstands. Among the six covers – featuring screen angels Indya Moore and Naomi Scott, and fashion gods Jonathan Anderson and Rick Owens – is an interview with peerless designer Raf Simons, by Alexander Fury. Alongside feature a series of images of Simons’ work, past and present, photographed on the designer’s ‘fashion family’ by Willy Vanderperre and styled by Olivier Rizzo.
Yesterday, in Paris, Simons’ fans gathered at Ofr bookshop, where the designer signed copies of the magazine – as well as various other items, from a pair of Simons’ Ozweego adidas trainers to a Calvin Klein 205W39NYC ‘fireman’ jacket, which Simons designed while at the label. Other attendees included model Jonas Glöer, who appears on the cover, actress Maisie Williams and AnOther editor-in-chief Susannah Frankel, alongside the AnOther Magazine team. Queues stretched along the block.
