Paris, Texas, 1984(Film still)

The Celine creative director’s MUBI edit – featuring films by Wim Wenders, Francis Ford Coppola and Ingmar Bergman – arrives just in time for another weekend of isolation

Hedi Slimane, the artistic, creative and image director of Parisian house Celine, has revealed an insight into his cinematic sensibilities via a specially curated film list for movie streaming site, MUBI – just in time for another weekend of isolation.

Selecting from the catalogue of films available on the site – which each are available for 30 days – the list includes a wide span of films, from Wim Wenders’ Paris, Texas, to Xavier Dolan’s Laurence Anyways, and Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now.

Better still, Slimane and MUBI are teaming up to make sure you can watch them without paying a thing – by offering you first 30 days on the site for free. For those yet to sign up for MUBI, it is a world away from the endless-scrolling required by other movie-streaming platforms: each day, the team hand-picks a new film which is then available to watch for 30 days. As Slimane’s selection shows, MUBI’s films are typically eclectic, from lesser-known indies to bonafide cult classics.

A selection of his list are below, though the exact films available vary from country to country – simply head to MUBI’s website to sign up and start watching.
