The Gucci Pet Collection includes a range of apparel and home accessories that “allow each animal’s personality to shine”
Aside from their obvious (yet noteworthy) cuteness-factor, pets have obediently pitter-pattered beside high fashion for decades. Many great creatives such as Andy Warhol and Georgia O'Keeffe have found inspiration – and even common ground – with their cats and dogs. From the Of Course a Horse Spring/Summer 2020 campaign to the Bee Star brocade on jackets and accessories, furry friends have remained integral to the Gucci DNA, weaved by creative director Alessandro Michele. Why wouldn’t he give pets their moment? Today, the Gucci Pet Collection is unveiled as the latest offering from the fashion house, featuring a range of apparel and accessories designed for only the chicest cats and dogs.
The Gucci Pet Collection is a vast and varied capsule on a miniature scale, with retro-inspired polos, T-shirts, knitwear, coats, as well as leather collars, harnesses and leashes in embellished leather or with studs, appeasing a diverse range of pet personalities. Homewear pieces also make up the drop with feeding bowls (equipped both for travel and for home), mats and luxurious beds in signature GG canvas prints. The apparel is reminiscent of the Hollywood inspired Gucci Love Parade collection, which is now on-sale, offering endless styling opportunities for outfit-coordination with your furry companion.
The drop continues the House’s commitment to sustainability, featuring items in recycled polyester and cotton, as well as in the new, eco-friendly and resilient material Demetra, unveiled by Gucci in June 2021.
