To accompany Sharif Hamza and Karen Langley's Emporio Armani story in the latest issue of AnOther Magazine, here we present a film short, showcasing the autumn/winter 2011 collection which marked the 30th anniversary of the Italian house.
The clandestine heroines of 1940s espionage film noirs were the protagonists of Emporio Armani's for autumn/winter – a brand whose sleek, darkly hued silhouettes have come to define functional, urban chic. In Hamza and Langley's story, Liu Wen stars as a present-day femme fatale in a dark and stylish narrative which puts a new spin on those murky post-war tales of sex and subversion, where the watched and the watching are never who they seem.
