Building on the timeless codes of the House, Coco Crush’s new additions offer endless scope for personalisation and a youthful appeal

“A girl should be two things,” Coco Chanel once said, “who and what she wants.” Over a century later, her eponymous label continues to provide women with the latter, with offerings embedded with the rebellious codes of its founder’s manifesto and a full wardrobe for women to face the modern world. In 2015, the Chanel universe expanded with the advent of Coco Crush, a minimalist yet elegant fine jewellery collection aimed towards a younger audience in designs that echo the label’s storied history. Now, they welcome seven delectable new pieces, with a distinct allure at the heart of each design.

In this launch, the Coco Crush collection is further elaborated upon with three rings in yellow gold, beige gold and white gold, made glorious with prong-set diamonds on each curved square of the quilted motif – a motif of the House since 1955 that echoes Chanel’s glorious leather handbags. A further three single hoops are formed in yellow gold, beige gold and white gold, and one single earring is unveiled in a bi-colour design of beige gold, white gold, and bespeckled with diamonds.

Looking into the mirror and taking one thing off was always a suggestion, not an order – here we welcome near-endless possibilities for stacking and personalisation. Worn on its own, a piece is a cherished and daring accessory; dare to double up and combine them among other Coco Crush pieces, they show to the world the wearer’s own distinct style. Gabrielle Chanel designed for motion, stripping things back, streamlined, to help women navigate a few steps ahead of a world constantly modernising – and Coco Crush provides the final dazzling touch to eschew convention, transcend binaries, and look brilliant while doing it.
