Whilst we're not ones to join in on the tweet-a-thon or constant stream of show reports usually associated with fashion week, there is no denying the increasing presence of technology – updating audiences globally with the latest fashion happenings minute-by-minute. From the recent boom in live video streaming (Topshop have got an iPhone app for it this season) and websites like Now Fashion uploading photographs of each show look instantly, to get a front row seat and access all areas pass there is no real need to leave the comfort of your own home as long as you have the internet close to hand. For A/W12, Richard Nicoll has even released a rechargeable handbag that can power your phone, complete with a Bluetooth enabled-LED charm that hangs on the exterior and flashes to indicate incoming calls – fashionable and functional.
