In celebration of a decade in fashion, AnOther Magazine A/W09 paired the most influential designers with fashion's finest accomplices; the actresses, models, musicians and muses who inspire us with their sense of style and the power of their image. The fashion houses granted personal access to their archives and our fashion editors carefully paired each of our icons with looks by one designer from the past 10 years. Two portfolios by Craig McDean and Hedi Slimane were co-ordinated over 18 months, with shoots in Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles, involving thousands of conversations between hundreds of people around the world. This was accompanied by Susannah Frankel's end of decade report, where she reflected on the collections, creative minds and cultural labels that shaped the fashion landscape.
Here we present the highlights from these extraordinary global shoots, ranging from McDean's flower strewn Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton to a sparkling Kylie Minogue, captured by Slimane in Swarovski and Christopher Kane.
