Nicolas Ghesquière’s long-anticipated debut show for Louis Vuitton was a creamy, caramel display of 60s throwback zip-front dresses, exaggerated collars, embroidered knits, fur and buttery leather, accessorised by miniature LV trunk handbags. "The archetypal Vuitton woman shows up in the collection in all her forms – matched with a sporty activeness, for women who Do," summarises illustrator Helen Bullock, "I loved the touch of teenage Valley Girl freshness that seemed to rise to the surface. A sense of tradition appears through the colour pallette evoking LV of the past – but with a beautiful twist."
