This week’s guest Lover is accessories and props designer Fred Butler. With a client list that includes the likes of Nicola Formichetti, Patti Wilson, Francesca Burns, Patrick Wolf and Lady Gaga, it will come as no surprise that her designs are brilliantly vibrant, colourful and imaginative. Naturally, Fred chose something colourful and fun for her most loved product. This Prismatic watch from online retailer ModCloth typifies Fred’s playful relationship with accessories.
Why did you choose the watch?
I’m a magpie for anything rainbow, prism, spectrum. I dress head to toe in a different colour every day, so this would be the perfect watch for me as it would go with any of my outfits and I could wear it all week long and never be late.
What's the last thing you bought?
I don’t buy much but I did just snap up a cheeky bunny appliqué jumper at a Peter Jensen sample sale. I have a few of Peter's pieces and whenever I wear them they always get a really warm positive response. His garms give off good vibes.
What's your most treasured possession?
A portrait of Leigh Bowery by Nick Knight that I won in a competition from SHOWstudio. I’m very blessed to own this masterpiece which I have a great attachment to. Thanks to the judge Simon Foxton for picking me as a winner!
