AnOther consider eyewear from the S/S15 menswear collections in Milan
From Prada’s geometric blacked-out lenses to Bottega Veneta’s monochromatic ombre frames, the menswear shows in Milan were shaded by sunglasses. Roberto Cavalli’s S/S15 collection was inspired by the sunsets and all-night paradise of Miami, with Wayfarer-style glasses not far off those worn by James “Sonny” Crockett in cult classic Miami Vice (1983). Elsewhere Giorgio Armani’s thick rimmed, retro frames were a nice contrast against the soft silhouettes and smoky tones in the collction, while Ermenegildo Zegna featured Zeiss sunglasses with flip-up technology. Fendi also used flip-up lenses in bright metal frames. Neil Barrett presented his second eyewear collection after last season’s debut: iconic wayfarers given an urban lift with hybrid surfaces in matte and high-shine acetate. Here, AnOther consider Milan’s varying tinted frames.
