AnOther speak to Missy Rayder about her latest Forte Forte campaign, and what's on her reading list this summer
For A/W14, Forte Forte takes us on a sensual trip around the waterfronts of Venice, travelling from the lagoon of Torcello and across the vast bays of the island. Titled Wonderland, the collection mimics the ripples of the sea in draped silk, woven knitwear and sparkling jewel embellishment. Shot by Arnaud Pyvka, the campaign stars American supermodel Missy Rayder. Younger sister of Frankie Rayder, she made her debut in 1997 and is recognised by her dark feline features, often caught deep in a good book. Here, AnOther speak to Rayder about the her favourite water spots and what’s on her summer reading list.
What is your favourite memory of the sea?
The most memorable beach or water location I have ever visited is the Adriatic Sea in Croatia. I love the sea and I am not scared of it but I most definitely respect the unpredictable nature of it.

What are you most looking forward to for the rest of summer?
I am most looking forward to resting a bit by the sea in Croatia this summer with my son and husband. I will try to read as much as possible in between swimming and discovering places here I have never seen before.
What is your holiday travel essential?
Books, light dresses and my Pratima face oil, I won’t get into everything I bring for my son Luka.
What is on your summer reading list?
The Colour Out of Space by H.P. Lovecraft. Lady Eleanore's Mantle and other tales by Nathaniel Hawthorne and Lady of the Beasts by Arione de Winter.
