The A/W15 Givenchy menswear show is a moment set to go down in beauty history. A collection that incorporated Riccardo Tisci's souvenirs and references from around the globe, the resulting aesthetic was that of luxuriant finery, with a thoroughly macabre spin. Models appeared pock-marked with sequins, shells were sewn into ghoulish facemasks, patchy glitter gave the illusion of peeling, even rotting flesh. Pat McGrath went all-out and, it might be a while away, but we already know what we're going as for Halloween – so we sent Magdalena Ławniczak backstage to give us a little insight into how it was done.
