This season JW Anderson has taken a strong dose of influence from hippies and rave imagery. His S/S11 collection on day six of London fashion week brought tie-dye, ‘far-out’ pattern prints and Buddhist symbols down the catwalk. Calmer complements came in the form of blue and khaki tapered trousers. Topman showed a colourful and quirky edge too, in a smart and sleek way: tailored suits and trench-parkas covered floral-print shirts and retro-coloured jumpers tucked into high-waisted trousers. Accessories came in the form of circular psychedelic sunglasses.
