AnOther Loves has been a hive of activity over the past few weeks, with our global network of contributors having plenty of time to seek out inspirational luxury products on the World Wide Web. On AnOther's first official day back in the office, we round up the best Loves from the holiday period.
Time spent indoors inspired a whole host of comfort products such as the handcrafted fine horsehair mattress from Berlin, a bottle of luxurious Spuma di Sciampagna champagne bubble bath and a cheeky pair of slippers by Stubbs & Wootton, an American company renowned for their luxury handcrafted footwear. There were also plenty of items with the winter weather in mind, including Neil Barrett winter boots, an Azzedine Alaïa wool coat and bright red cashmere socks, recommended to brighten up a grey day.
Accessories are always a firm favourite on Loves. Alongside the more unusual (a brilliant Chanel acoustic guitar and quilted case) shoes were hugely popular ranging from Mark Fast for Christian Louboutin lace-ups, Proenza Schouler wedge boots, Fendi wedges to BAPE Octopus Camo, George Cox creeper boots, bright blue soled Mark McNairy Derby shoes, two-tone suede sandals by Balenciaga and quartz black leather brothel creepers by Casely-Hayford for John Moore Ghillie.
A flashback to childhood, Barbie made two appearances although here less child friendly, smoking à la Coco Chanel and face down in a pool of shiny red liquid in the style of Guy Bourdin's iconic image from the Pantax Calendar in 1980. There was also the beautiful Konstantin Beta sit-on toy by Nika Zupanc and a bride doll by Lanvin.
And if your Resolution was to get more organised in 2011, what better way to start than with Hermès post-it notes?
This Friday we will reveal the week's most Loved and speak to the contributor who posted it. Click here to see more Loves.
