Bodies are abstracted, enmeshed and transported into the unknown, in this fluid choreography of linear distortions and brittle textures
English-born fashion designer Gareth Pugh made his industry debut in 2005 when he showed with Fashion East at London Fashion Week. His work over the past decade has redefined modern luxury through its experimental use of materials. Renowned for his creations of sculptural forms and their dramatic presentation both on the runway and through film, Pugh first collaborated with Ruth Hogben in autumn/winter 09 for a landmark film screening in lieu of a fashion show. They have since become regular creative partners, most recently on the film that opened his autumn/winter 15 runway show.
