American-born Tim Hamilton is inspired by and has collaborated with artist Ross Bleckner for the prints in his autumn/winter 2011 men's and women's collections. Bleckner’s work largely represents fragility and human emotions, often those connected with the disease AIDS. Sometimes this is more literal in the works, as Bleckner describes as, "the idea of something beautiful like a cell mutating into something treacherous". Other times, the works show distorted images of flowers. It is the latter that Hamilton has chosen to reference. This abstract representation of life, loss and memory connects well with the typical Hamilton colour palette, which this year is infused with deep red and racing greens.
