It’s been just over a week since Russia invaded Ukraine, and a humanitarian crisis in the region is sadly already unfolding. More than one million people have fled as brutal attacks continue (including the terrifying bombing of Europe’s largest nuclear plant), and global tensions have continued to build.

From aid collections to protesting, many in the creative industries have felt moved to help the people of Ukraine in the face of this crisis. This week, Dalston-based creative space Have a Butchers has launched a charity print sale with Hempstead May & May Print to raise vital funds for the British Red Cross’ Ukraine Crisis Appeal, which is providing care and aid for those affected by the conflict.

Some of photography’s most well-known names have donated their work to the sale, including Alec Soth, Jamie Hawkesworth, Miles Aldridge, Jack Davison, and Venetia Scott. The sale also includes beautiful imagery by some of the medium’s most exciting emerging talent, including Maisie Cousins, Anna Victoria Best, Maxime Imbert, Rodrigo Carmuega, Marie Deteneuille and Clémentine Schneidermann & Charlotte James. All prints will be sold at £50 to remain inclusive to all and the sale will run until March 11. Head here to secure yours.

The Have a Butchers print sale in association with Hempstead May & May Print runs from 2 March – 11 March 2022, with proceeds being donated to the British Red Cross, Ukraine Crisis Appeal. All prints are unsigned and printed on fine art ‘Hahnamühle Lustre’ Archival paper at 10x8.
