We speak to one of Paris Fashion Week's most admired faces, Dutch model Julie Hoomans
Julie Hoomans has been one of Paris fashion week’s most exciting faces, walking for an impressive fifteen shows including Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu, Maison Martin Margiela and Céline. She also stars in the new A/W14 issue of AnOther Magazine, which sees the Dutch teen dressed in Fendi, styled by Olivier Rizzo. We caught up with Hoomans to discuss Paris, summer camp and her favourite clothes.
Julie Hoomans on... Paris
"Because Paris is the last city, everyone is tired and wants to go home, which makes the vibe a little less chill. On the other hand, the collective tiredness makes everyone bond, which is nice. I love eating the mini pain au chocolats they always have at every Paris show.
Julie Hoomans on... Memorable outfits
"My Valentino and Louis Vuitton dresses battle for first place. Valentino was very beautiful and elegant. With Louis Vuitton, I wore long black boots and a short dress with a fun print. I just wanted to sneak away with it — it was so comfortable and something I would definitely wear myself."
Julie Hoomans on... Her favourite fashion soundtrack
"The Sound Of Silence remix at Louis Vuitton was pretty cool."
Julie Hoomans on... Her favouite clothes
"At the moment I'm wearing my woollen sweater a lot, because it's super comfy. I guess my favourite place to shop would be Zara."
Julie Hoomans on... her favourite film
"A Most Wanted Man by Anton Corbijn, based on the novel by John le Carré."
Julie Hoomans on... Her hobbies
"I love to read and play the guitar. I enjoy hanging out with friends and shopping as well. I also like to work with kids. For example, this summer I volunteered at a kids' summer camp called Jeugd Aktief."
Julie Hoomans on... herself
"Enthusiastic, positive, trustworthy."
