On Saturday night we joined with Prada, director Luca Guadagnino and the cast of the filmmaker's soon-to-be released Suspiria for a private screening

Suspiria’s first screening outside of Venice Film Festival marked another first – the first film to be shown at the newly minted Beau Regard cinema in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Officially opening later this month, Beau Regard is the latest venture of Paris club Silencio's owners Arnaud Frisch and cinema producer Charles Gillibert – a reimagining of one of Saint Germain’s oldest cinemas, the Star. Tucked behind Café de Flore in the 6th arrondissement, the 200-seater auditorium is crowned by a bohemian bistro – conceptualised by Studio KO, the design team behind Chiltern Firehouse, and brought to life on the night by art director Jan Kennedy and his team – and it’s here that friends and family of AnOther Magazine, Prada and Suspiria raised a glass to the latest issue and the beautiful, visceral film that inspired it.

In Paris’ bustling artist quarter, Luca Guadagnino, Jefferson Hack and Susannah Frankel welcomed guests including Suspiria cast and AnOther Magazine cover stars Tilda Swinton, Chloë Grace Moretz and Mia Goth. Joining them was Owen Wilson, Lea Seydoux, Wes Anderson, Alexa Chung, Joel Edgerton, Dree Hemingway, Kiki Willems, Juergen Teller, Ellen von Unwerth, Sadie Coles, Anders Edström, Craig McDean, Blondey McCoy, Marc Ascoli, Verde Visconti, Delfina Delettrez, Christopher Kane, Molly Goddard, Simone Rocha, Susie Lau, Dilara Findikoglu, Camille Bidault-Waddington, Ben Cobb, Karla Otto, Katie Grand, Mark Ronson and Michel Gaubert.

In the cavernous, low-lit eatery, attendees danced into the early hours to DJ sets by Jarvis Cocker, Louise Chen and Agathe Mougin and dined on Caviar Kaspia’s menu of baked potato with Imperial Baeri caviar, mac and cheese with truffles, mixed tomatoes and beef wellington. Glimpses of Prada's fluoro tulle and flame-licked heels could be caught among the crowd as shadows from the deeply haunting film no doubt flickered across partygoers’ minds.

The Autumn/Winter 2018 issue of AnOther Magazine is on sale now.
