Inside AnOther and Trussardi’s Milan Fashion Week Party

This weekend, Benjamin A Huseby and Serhat Işık of Trussardi hosted a blow-out party with AnOther Magazine at the brand’s iconic Palazzo Trussardi location

Now fully bedded into their positions at the helm of Trussardi, Benjamin A Huseby and Serhat Işık this week presented their third collection for the Italian heritage house, staging a presentation during Milan Fashion Week which put forward their proposition for Autumn/Winter 2023.

Taking over the ground floor of the brand’s newly redesigned flagship space, the Palazzo Trussardi, quilted opera coats and opulent faux furs stood alongside sensual pencil dresses and skirts, and the slick, streamlined tailoring the designers have become known with their personal label GmbH.

Rounding things off were a series of covetable accessories, including retro-futuristic moulded sunglasses, shaggy fur gloves, and a handful of sleek, understated bags – including one standout style in the shape of a kidney bean, rendered in rich oxblood leather, as well as classic black and brown hues.

In light of the occasion, Trussardi joined forces with AnOther Magazine’s co-founder Jefferson Hack and editor-in-chief Susannah Frankel to throw a big MFW party. Not only was Trussardi’s A/W23 issue a cause for celebration, but AnOther Magazine’s Spring/Summer 2023 issue, which gets its debut this week featuring Trussardi on the cover, deserved a moment too.

With clothes stored safely away, and handbags hoicked to the highest shelves to avoid knocks and inevitable spillages, the new Palazzo store was transformed into a club space, its stainless steel fixtures, panelled mirror walls, and the building’s original terrazzo floors bathed in bouncing pink and yellow neon lights.

With Huseby and Işık’s GmbH label finding its roots on Berlin’s dancefloors, the two were well-appointed to curate the soundtrack for the night, with the designers tapping some of the best women DJs from across Europe to play. As guests including Anna Cleveland, Kelela, and Joshua Woods weaved between the store’s pillars and walls drinking a selection of bespoke cocktails, Zurich producer Asmara, Berlin’s Mobilegirl, and Paris’ legendary Crystallmess all took a spot behind the decks, spinning everything from techno to Chicago house, to UK garage and 00s trance.

Other guests included Declan Chan, Jordan Hames, Raisa Flowers, James Corbin, Ottawa Kwami, Affa Osman, Nathan Hopkinson and Achilles Ion Gabriel. They were joined by Sfera Ebbasta, John Allan, Ryan Prevedel, Marta Losito, Cherif Douamba, Mikaela Neaze Silva, K Bailey Obazee, Ginevra Mavilla, Diego Lazzari, Greta Futura Langianni, Lin Lin, Valentina Marzullo, Chriselle Lim, Victoria Stella Doritou, Valentina Goglino, Pierpaolo Pretelli, Paola Turani, and Giulia Salemi.

With the space still packed out as the time came to call it a night, the party was extended and continued into the small hours of Saturday – which we can only assume resulted in some pretty sore heads as the shows kicked off that morning.
