Paris based, Australian born journalist Dan Thawley is the editor of A MAGAZINE curated by and online editor of A BLOG curated by. He also contributes to Dazed Digital, thePOP.com, Sang Bleu & Novembre magazines as well as working as a consultant for several brands and retail concepts in Paris and Antwerp. This week he is our AnOther Lover for his choice of Richard Avedon's 1965 portrait of Bob Dylan. We caught up with him between his many tasks to find out what's on his mind and the treasured item he wears every day...

Why did you choose the photo of Bob Dylan?
The Richard Avedon foundation is hosting a large auction at Christie's in Paris next week. This was my most inspiring lot of the auction. (I have had Avedon on my mind as we worked closely with the foundation for the next issue of A MAGAZINE curated by Giambattista Valli, released this month.)

What's the last thing you bought?
An antique silver pin set with a sapphire at the "Les Puces" markets in Paris.

What's your most treasured possession?
My grandfather's Omega Seamaster watch – I wear it every day.

What's your favourite online shop?
I don't mind a browse on Nieves or Steidlville (for unusual books). Also Philips de Pury auctioneers.
