If You Like Pain, You’ll Love This DIY Microneedling Kit

Teresa Tarmey Microneedling Kit

From the niche new beauty brands doing something different, to the industry’s evergreen icons, Tish Weinstock opens up AnOther’s dream vanity. Up this week – a DIY microneedling kit that delivers salon-worthy results

Who should use it? Anyone looking for gorgeous glowing skin and has a penchant for DIY procedures. Skincare junkies, where you at?

How long until I love it? It depends on how you feel about pain. There’s something incredibly satisfying about stroking your face with a derma roller and increasing pressure whenever possible. For everyone else, however, it might take a little getting used to. But stay with me. After the redness subsides a day later, your skin will look totally rejuvenated

How planet-/people-friendly is it? Exceptionally. From carbon footprint to ethical and sustainable ingredients, responsibility is at the forefront of everything Teresa Tarmey does

How do I use it? Start by applying half of one peptide ampule to cleansed and dry skin and glide the derma roller over your targeted areas, moving in horizontal, vertical and diagonal strokes, almost in the shape of an asterisk. For optimum results, you’ll want to use medium to firm pressure. Repeat these motions two to three times and finish off by massaging the remaining peptide treatment into the treated areas with your fingers. Repeat this every week over a 12-week period

Teresa Tarmey knows how to give good facials. If you’ve ever been to her practice, located in an incredibly white, impossibly serene converted Notting Hill synagogue, you’ll know what I’m talking about. The problem, however, is that she’s hideously in demand, not least because of her latest appointment as Dior’s Global Skincare Expert. But thankfully Teresa has come up with a plan which enables her to share all that skincare goodness: enter the Teresa Tarmey Microneedling Kit. Bottling up the salon experience (in several bottles, or ampules to be exact), Teresa has poured her 25 years of know-how into a DIY Microneedling Kit complete with 12 peptide treatments and a cutting-edge derma roller device.

Using the finest microneedles, small punctures are made in the skin in order to kickstart the body’s natural repair process, as the skin tries to heal itself. This in turn activates the production of collagen and elastin, which then targets skin laxity as well as the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Here’s where your peptides come in. A powerful cocktail of active ingredients, including niacinamide, glycerin, peptide complex, mulberry extract, probiotic and stable vitamin C, these mini treatments are the perfect skin boosters, which, when pressed into the punctured skin, work to improve skin texture, even out skin tone and increase overall luminosity and brightness. The result? Not just healthy-looking skin, but Teresa Tarmey levels of healthy-looking skin.
